Japanese Stab Binding
This is a 2 hour class great for beginners and those interested in learning this traditional sewn binding.
You will learn how to make 2-3 variations of a simple soft Japanese Stab bound books. I will then walk you through the sewing and glueing to make a hardcover stab binding.
All of the materials will be cut and ready for you.
We will use beautiful handmade papers for the cover of the book and good quality drawing paper for the pages.
All materials are included. Open to ages 12 - adult.
The class is taught in my home studio in Washington, DC.
I am open to coming to you to teach the class.
